I want to share with you tips I feel are important to building a list. This involves a few different areas, Such as lead capture pages, email letters, etc
When you can start collecting leads with an autoresponder everything will change online for you.. These tips are in no particular order.
Tip #1
Use an autoresponder, I see many not doing this online. Some are building the companies list and not their own or just sending people blindly to a company page expecting the prospect to actually go through the website without really knowing much about the business.
Why this doesn’t work very well?
Many company websites have been seen so many times , people are just numb to seeing those same websites.. so they by pass and move to the next. Then you just missed out on this potential lead.
Solution..
Pay for an autoresponder, it will be the best investment you can make in your business online. Most autoresponder programs you can earn money from as well.. so why not!
You can either use the companies referral pages to get others to sign up ( not recommended as many others are using these pages as well) create your own lead capture page with a opt in form, or allow LeadsLeap to build a solid eye catching lead page that will draw people in and join your list.
Tip #2
How to get people to opt into your form (put their name and email address into form) on your lead capture page?
You lead page needs to build curiosity. You don’t need to completely tell your prospects what exactly you are offering.. Although many do..
Building curiosity works best. You can also offer something of value that is free to them. Example: free report, free training, traffic credits, etc.
On your lead capture page tell people the benefits to opting in. what is in it for them.. Why join You? and so on..
How do you keep people on your list?
I have found that giving your prospects something of value , helpful tips, etc within your email letters series works good.. Yes you can tell them about what you do , what you are promoting but also give value whenever you can.. This helps keep prospects subscribed and interested.
Within each letter you send , at the end of the letter say something like Tomorrow I will send you more reasons why this program or business may be for you.. Or you can say stay tuned till tomorrow have some really important information to share with you.. Again build curiosity.
Always add a P.S. – this is a good place to add a link to something that can help them.. Giving value while sharing what you do works good..
Tip #3
When writing your email letters to send to your list. Don’t add too many links in your email letters.
Why?
It has been said too many links can trigger the spam bots to send your email letters to spam folder.
What happens then?
Many people honestly still don’t check their spam folder.. or the email letter just gets mixed with many other emails, and they miss your email..
Tip #4
Always add a helpful signature at the end of each email letter.
Your Name
Your email address
Your phone number ( if you feel safe doing so)
A photo of yourself is personal and helps you being recognized more online
Your Signature tagline Example: Mine is ( Helping You Stand Out More Online)
Why?
It looks professional and gives your list of prospects a easy way to contact you .
Tip #5
Lead Capture Page tip:
You got to be different . There is a lot of the same lead capture pages online. So much so that those surfing and clicking for credits just really don’t pay much attention to them anymore. They have seen them, over and over again.
One thing online there are options for creating your own lead capture pages. It is a great skill to learn. Trust me!
